New strategies for foundations – when, why and how to use venture philanthropy
On June 7 EVPA will host a session during the 23rd Annual General Assembly of the European Foundation Centre in Belfast discussing when, why and how foundations are using venture philanthropy. The session will provide valuable insight into practical examples of two EVPA members using venture philanthropy – Fondazione CRT and the Shell Foundation. It will explore their impetus for and experience of adopting this approach.
We have taken this opportunity to talk to Judith Pollock, deputy director at the Shell Foundation, as well as Fondazione CRT‘s Stefania Coni, responsible for grant allocation support, and Matteo Pessione, who is overseeing the foundation’s venture philanthropy activities. In the following case studies they describe how they are using venture philanthropy instruments, the obstacles foundations can face and how to overcome them.
The following case study showcase the two interviews with the organisations which will be speaking during the AGA EFC session:
We would be delighted to see you at the session New strategies for foundations: When, why and how to use venture philanthropy taking place on 7 June, 11am-12.30pm.
