Social impact measurement: the fundamentals

Register here.

What is it?

Social impact measurement is a fundamental part of the work of each social investor. No matter what sector you are active in, or which beneficiaries you aim to serve, as a social investor you will need to start measuring the impact you are generating, to better use your resources.

This one-day workshop helps practitioners get started with impact measurement, and navigate the maze of existing methodologies. During the workshop you will learn the basics of impact measurement, understand how to build an impact value change and how to design a solid theory of change for your investments and your organisation.

At the end of this workshop, participants will walk away with:

-a practical understanding of impact measurement frameworks and their implementation;

-a dedicated and exclusive resource pack of guides, templates, and practical examples;

-a new network of peers and like-minded professionals across sectors;

-the EVPA Training Academy participation certificate.

Watch Jeremy Nicholls outlining the importance of impact measurement for the VP/SI sector, the opportunities and practical ways to do impact measurement well.

Who should attend?

The training is designed for practitioners in the field of impact assessment, or with an understanding of the basics of impact measurement. We recommend taking having taken this course of  Social impact measurement: the fundamentals before taking the Social impact management workshop: advanced training.

Former participants ranged from grant officers, advisers in philanthropy (banking, family offices), investment managers, foundations and NGO staff, to academic institutions. This mix is a unique opportunity to connect and learn from each other in the pursuit of more effective societal impact.

Please note that our course is limited to a maximum of 20 participants, in order to guarantee interactivity. EVPA Training Academy will grant a certificate of participation to those who attended all sessions and complete the required assignments.

This training course will also take place on the 19th of September!
