The first session will look into the context and legal challenges of an NGO working closely with corporates to bridge the digital divide between North and South and supporting social enterprises in developing countries.
The second session will analyse the legal framework for a cooperative company with social purpose raising capital to construct housing facilities for disabled people, in close collaboration with non-profits providing related care.
In the afternoon sessions, the focus will be on social finance, including such alternative finance mechanisms as social impact bonds and other forms of “social impact incentives”, as well as social investment funds.
Each workshop starts with a real life testimonial, which will be commented on by a panel of international policy makers and legal experts. Participants at the conference will have the time to reflect with the members of the panel during Q&A-time.
