About Credit Suisse AG

Founded in 1856 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Credit Suisse is a global financial services company with expertise in the areas of private banking, investment banking, and asset management. It provides specialist advisory services, comprehensive solutions, and innovative products to serve companies, institutional clients, and high-net-worth clients worldwide from 550 offices in 50 countries, and also serves retail clients in Switzerland.

Credit Suisse’s global philanthropy services and responsible investment team helps clients integrate their personal values and social and environmental objectives into their engagement and investment strategy. We provide dedicated and advice and tailored solutions to clients interested in Philanthropy, Impact Investment and Sustainable Investment.

Within Philanthropy Services, we work with clients – individuals, family offices and charitable foundations – to develop their philanthropic strategies and create long-lasting impact. The services include dedicated strategic advice for charitable giving, the provision of customized solutions including the set-up of charitable foundations as well as ongoing advice for charitable foundations. Alongside new vehicles designed to act as a conduit for donors who do not wish to set up and manage their own institution, Credit Suisse offers donors in Switzerland and Asia-Pacific the option of setting up their own sub-foundation under the patronage of one of four charitable umbrella foundations.

In Impact Investment, Credit Suisse offers innovative solutions that generate a tangible social and environmental impact alongside a financial return. We have been involved in microfinance for more than a decade and have built long-term partnerships to support micro-entrepreneurs across the globe. Our offering also includes investment opportunities to help the growth of small and medium-sized businesses or social enterprises in sectors such as health care, sustainable agriculture and fair trade and education.

Sustainable Investment is an established investment approach that explicitly incorporates Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria into the investment process in order to improve long-term, risk-adjusted returns. In addition to sustainable products that cover areas such as social responsibility, resource efficiency, global warming, alternative energy, and nanotechnology, Credit Suisse offers portfolio screening and development of sustainable investment strategies.
