About Camilla Backström
Camilla is an independent advisor based in the Nordic region, acting as Senior Advisor for Fryshuset’s initiative on social impact bond development and impact measurement, and at Ashoka Scandinavia.
She has extensive experience working with sustainability and new financing models for social innovation in both business and non-profit sectors. Camilla is the founder and chair of the Nordic Network of Social Impact Bond Developers and she is part of the advisory board for SOPACT, a startup accelerator for social ventures at Lund University. Camilla previously worked with the Forum for Social Innovation and managed the area of new funding models for social innovation and impact measurement. She is the author of the report "New Funding Models for Social Innovation". She has also been CEO of Charity Rating. At TeliaSonera Camilla built the global CSR function, and cooperated with civil society as well as social entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions to tackle complex societal challenges such as e-bullying, child pornography, freedom of expression and privacy.
