2nd Doctoral Seminar in Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy (SEPHI)

The seminar is meant for doctors in management and social sciences who work on philanthropy and social entrepreneurship, with a focus on issues at the crossroads of these two fields of research.

The seminars will offer PhD students a chance to present their thesis, whether it is an exploitative research project or a more advanced research article. They will receive feedback and will attend the presentations of more experienced researchers. They will also have the opportunity to network in the heart of this booming community in Europe. 

You will ahve the chance to wlecome two guest speakers which have developed a rare expertise on these topics:

Filipe Santos, Professor and Chair in Social Entrepreneurship at Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics.

Alnoor Ebrahim, Professor of Management at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

The seminar will be in English and welcomes PhD students from multiple countries. The seminar is free of charge and candidates will be selected before 30 April 2018. Interested candidates should send an email to Aurélie Couvin (couvin@essec.edu) including a sample research article or a summary of your thesis together with a brief letter of motivation.
