EVPA Across Oslo

We are happy to invite you to the second EVPA Across taking place in Oslo, Norway, on 18 September between 9:30 – 18:00.

This is an opportunity for impact funders across Europe and across different sectors to strengthen bridges, collaborate and co-invest. In addition, you have the chance to get to know the EVPA community. Taking place in different locations across Europe, the events will focus on a diverse pool of topics looking at how we can better finance impact. Oslo is the second edition of the EVPA Across series this year themed Different groups, inspiring solutions. Integrating underprivileged groups on the job market, the event is co-organised with Ferd Social Entrepreneurs.

Join us to learn, discuss, debate and gain an understanding of what wide and varied approaches are being used in the venture philanthropy and social investment sector to create solutions; with seasoned veteran speakers discussing this topic.

Speakers & organisations:

  • Julia Abel, Head of Funds Inspiring Scotland - Scotland: a venture philanthropy organisation investing to integrate young people into the job market;
  • Sociale KapitalFonden - Denmark (TBC): Denmark's first social venture fund investing in organisations that give underprivileged groups the opportunity to fulfill their potential;
  • Unicus - Norway, a consulting company integrating people with autism into the job market;
  • Medarbeiderne - Norway, a social enterprise recruiting and working with former addicts;
  • Gammel nok - Norway, a resource centre for senior employees.

Please find here a draft agenda of the event.

According to Eurostat statistics the economic downturn has increased unemployment in 17 Member states with approximately 25.5 million European citizens unemployed in the EU27. Unemployment and social exclusion are affecting disadvantaged, vulnerable groups deeply as low income families struggle for affordable childcare and migrants experience unprecedented exclusion.

Join us and get your message across. Please not that this is a member dedicated event and that spaces are limited (one seat per organisation)!

If you are not a EVPA member, and you are interested in the event, please write to us at communications@evpa.eu.com.

Looking forward to seeing you in Oslo!
