Angela Oduor Lungati is a technologist, community builder and an open source software advocate. She is passionate about building and using appropriate technology tools to create impact in lives of marginalised groups. With over 10 years experience, she currently serves as the Executive Director at Ushahidi, a global non-profit technology company that builds tools for democratising information, increasing transparency and lowering barriers for individuals to raise their voices. She previously served as the Director of Community Engagement, creating and managing programs for Ushahidi’s diverse global community,
Andrew Waititu - Safe Hands Kenya
Andrew Waititu is the CEO of Safe Hands Kenya, a coalition of Kenyan companies seeking to deploy soap, ethanol hand sanitizer, surface disinfectant and masks to all vulnerable Kenyans immediately, on a FULLY SUBSIDIZED basis. Project Safe Hands encompasses the end-to-end process, starting from inputs and manufacturing, building off a robust technology platform for procurement, and leveraging coalition members’ existing retail networks to reach every household. This ensures that vulnerable Kenyans at the “last mile” or the “base of the pyramid” get access.
Frank Aswani - AVPA
Dr. Frank Aswani, is the CEO of Africa Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA). He’s Kenyan, living in Johannesburg, South Africa. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, AVPA has catalyzed communities of response in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria where over 350 organizations and individuals have engaged in contributing to various aspects in support of efforts against COVID-19.
