Den Sociale Kapitalfond (The Social Capital Fund) is Denmark's first social venture fund. They invest capital and competencies in promising social entrepreneurs who create social change in Denmark by doing business. We help the social enterprises grow, scale their social impact and improve their financial performance - and reinvest our financial returns in new social entrepreneurs.
Den Sociale Kapitalfond builds on methods and approaches from commercial venture capital funds. It can use both loans and (quasi-)equity for its investments and uses a well-defined deal flow, thorough due diligence, good business planning and performance measurement. The fund is a high engagement investor whose financial capital is accompanied by "intellectual capital" investments from a pro bono network of leading business service companies - competence partners.
