About Egmont Foundation

The Egmont Foundation's philanthropic strategy is to safeguard children and young people against "modern poverty" - the lack of learning and life skills.

The main objective is to provide learning and life skills for children and young people at risk. In practice this means that all children and young people must be able to master reading, writing and math when they leave school. Also they have developed the social and personal skills necessary to have a good life. The success criterion for the foundation's philanthropic activities is that by 2030 all young people are able to complete upper secondary education.
