About Fondation de la Chartreuse de Neuville

The Chartreuse de Neuville is a European cultural centre open to all with the aim of supporting the demand for social and artistic innovation. A place to address societal challenges.

A co-creation model supported by a Foundation promoting social innovation, economic performance and integration of rural territories.

The Chartreuse de Neuville, a Carthusian monastery founded in 1324 and rebuilt in 1870, the printing centre for the Carthusian order in Europe in the nineteenth century, is a source of unique experiences of social and inclusive life uniting reflection and action, vision and concrete objectives.

In a digital age, it brings alive the vocation for the search for meaning, the transmission of knowledge and creativity in order to encourage knowledge sharing as well as individual and collective action for the society.

It offers European, local and global actors, a place of inspiration and encounters to improve the discussion, creation, experimentation and sharing of work projects and to contribute to collective social innovation.

At the same time, it creates, in a rural territory, an innovative and attractive restored heritage which contributes to the local development in terms of employment, culture, entrepreneurship, education, social and professional insertion.
