By the end of 2017 EVPA (European Venture Philantrophy Association) confirmed Jamy Goewie  as Community and Market Development Director. Jamy is a Founding Partner of FA-SE Benelux, Advisory Board of the European Leadership Platform, Member of European Young Leaders 40 under 40, Chair to the board of Young Africa Foundation and Columnist for “De Dikke Blauwe”.

With this appointment Jamy aims to further strengthen the EVPA community by bringing more funding and more expertise in the sector and inspire VP/SI practitioners to share and collaborate within the network. In her new position Jamy will have a focus on developing services  to maximise the effectiveness of members.

Jamy Goewie states, “Over the years, I have met amazing social entrepreneurs dedicated to create more impact and build sustainable organisations. At the junction between traditional non-profits and commercial markets, social enterprises need not only access to capital, but more and more patient capital in order to prioritise societal impact. This is where VP/SI approach brings the most value, and our role as EVPA is to make sure that this community of social funders grows stronger, interconnects a variety of actors that inspire each other, builds new solutions for a better society and brings new capital into the space. I am excited to continue my journey in the field as part of the EVPA team”.

With her vast, extensive experience in both Venture Philanthropy and Social Enterprise sectors, Jamy started her journey in the social-enterprise ecosystem with the launch of be-a-businessman, a social initiative started together with KPMG in 2003.  She then went on to found several social investments and venture philanthropy organisations (Child at Venture, Ashoka Netherlands and FA-SE Benelux) in areas ranging from Europe to Africa. Jamy also has a wide array of experience in strategies in fields ranging from Fundraising, CSR, Media, Youth Entrepreneurship and business development. She was a consultant to companies  such as NYSE Euronext, Madurodam and BCD Travel. She has also achieved several awards including Best Young Non Profit Leader 2009 (Filantrope Magazine) and ranked (Filantrophy Magazine Dikke Blauwe) number 21 in the Dutch top 100 most influential people in 2017.
