EVPA, together with the Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, first Polish family office Firlej & Kastory and advisory firm Inspired, invite you to a new webinar series on impact investing for CEE players interested in this topic.

EVPA and its partners join forces to increase the level of understanding of the responsible and social impact investing concepts by combining academic research on the topic and meetings with leading experts and practitioners who share their experience.

Run once a month, an 1-hour webinar in English, will present examples how private equity, venture capital, family offices and funds can engage their capital to support UN Social Development Goals and help to solve pressing social issues while making sustainable profits.

We will present facts, figures, business models and investment strategies supported by case studies from EVPA community of members and other responsible investors. You will learn about existing approaches, challenges and opportunities, to become an agent of change in your company or at your market. Speakers' experience will help to facilitate the conversation between investors and corporates or social-purpose organisations.

Webinar 1: How to make “sustainability” profitable?

When: 5 November 2020, 11:00-12:00 CET

In this introductory webinar we will cover megatrends which has influenced the biggest change in the financial sector in decades. We will look at these changes related to sustainable and impact investing growth rates, systemising different investment strategies and become familiar with different motivations that stand behind social investors. Experienced practitioners of venture philanthropy and impact investment will share their perspectives on the development of impact space in our region and practices from the field.

Webinar 2: How can investors contribute to SDGs?

When: 10 December 2020, 11:00-12:00 CET

How to invest to shape positive outcomes in the world? What is the relation between ESG and sustainable development? How to align investment strategies with United Nations Social Development Goals? All those questions we will address at our second webinar. Moreover, together with our guests we will explore if implementation of “zero carbon” policy into portfolios can be profitable and how we can generate profits from investments into renewables.

Webinar 3: What is the media's role in enhancing stakeholders capitalism?

When: 11 February 2021, 11:00-12:30 CET

This webinar will be dedicated to media representatives: editors, publishers and journalists. We will explore the evolution of responsibility and sustainability discourse in the press and reflect on the role media play in shaping the new economic order.

Webinar 4: How can Venture Capital investors benefit from impact investing?

When: 11 March 2021, 13:00-14:30 CET

Sustainability awareness around investors and founders is increasing. How can technology solve global problems? Is it more difficult for impact-driven projects to raise funding? Can purpose-led startups scale up and deliver expected returns? What do VC investors fear the most when it comes to impact investing? How do investors integrate ESG factors into due diligence, and how do they measure their investments' real impact? This webinar will address those questions from trends, theory, and practitioners' point of view.

Webinar 5: Banking on change: economy recovery and sustainability pressure - sector challenges and opportunities

When: 13 May 2021, 11:00-12:00 CET

The next CEE Webinar will explore pressure on banking from technology disruption, greater regulation and an ultra-low-interest-rate environment that has started prior to COVID-19 and has accelerated over the last year. What is the role of banks in financing the transition to a green economy and more just economy? Is the banking sector in CEE ready for more restrictive ESG reporting and new, more ethical solutions?

We invite banking and finance sector representatives interested in sustainable and impact investing to explore industry changes expected by the customers and needed for the transformation to move forward.
