The European action plan for social economy - EVPA’s contribution on the roadmap

EVPA members now have another chance to express their concerns and to suggest their innovative solutions for the social economy to the European Commission.

Have your Say on the Roadmap of THE EUROPEAN ACTION PLAN FOR SOCIAL ECONOMY crop

At the end of 2020, EVPA contributed a comprehensive policy research and listed recommendations to the European Commission’s Consultations for the European Pillar of Social Rights, setting the ground for the European Action Plan for Social Economy 2021 (more about it here). In the face of recent crises, EVPA members have demonstrated a remarkable ability to contribute to the strengthening and building of resilient communities and to manage major transitions. Their shared expertise to the European Commission, facilitated by EVPA, succesfully contributed as policy evidence to the first steps of the European Action Plan for Social Economy.

EVPA members now have another chance to express their concerns and to suggest their innovative solutions for the social economy to the European Commission.

The upcoming 2 months EVPA will be deeply engaged on the Roadmap for the European Action Plan for Social Economy, and it aims to provide its members ideas as input in future consultation activities regarding the Roadmap.

This Plan will provide a coherent set of measures and aim to create favourable conditions for the social economy to fulfil its potential to contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth and a fair recovery while achieving the green and digital transitions.

The EC’s Roadmap describes the issues to be tackled and the objectives to be met, explains why EU action is needed, outlines policy options and describes the main features of the consultation strategy.
