Policy Webinar #5 | Social enterprises and Public Procurement

EVPA’s fifth Policy Webinar took place on the 23rd of September 2015.

Public procurement is an important topic in the VP/SI space. When supporting social enterprises, one of the main objectives of VP/SI practitioners is to help their investees build sustainable business models, while eventually allowing them to scale up and access new markets.

The PowerPoint presentation of this webinar can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Can this sustainability help social enterprises access public procurement markets? How can they become suppliers to the public sector instead of depending on subsidies? To what extend are public authorities “buying social” today? Are they encouraged to do so with the recent reform of the European Union in this field?

These and other questions were tackled by EU experts, VP/SI practitioners and social entrepreneurs in EVPA’s last Webinar of 2015 on the 23rd of September.
