About Anna-Marie Harling

Anna-Marie is Deputy Head of the Philanthropy Advisory team at UBS in Zurich. She advises UBS’ wealthiest clients on how to achieve their philanthropic aspirations as well as being responsible for thought leadership on strategic philanthropy in the team. She has particular expertise in the area of venture philanthropy and social investment and regularly writes on philanthropic topics.

Anna-Marie has over 13 years of experience in the civil society and the private sectors. Previously at the European Venture Philanthropy Association she worked with the 180+ foundation members on best practice topics such as implementing a venture philanthropy strategy, impact measurement and exit strategies as well as surveying and analyzing the venture philanthropy landscape in Europe. At Ashoka, she helped social entrepreneurs scale up their business models both within and across countries. In Mexico, she worked with a family foundation where her responsibilities spanned social investment strategy to post investment impact measurement.

Anna-Marie began her career in investment banking at Credit Suisse working in both London and Zurich. She holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and an MA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
