Marcos Kisil

Marcos Kisil is a well-known expert in philanthropy and private social investment in Latin America. He served as Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Battle Creek, Michigan for 15 years.

He was former CEO of World Childhood Foundation/Brazil, Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation (a family foundation dedicated to Early Childhood Development).

He is founder and former President of GIFE - Brazilian Council on Foundations. He is also the founder of the Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS), a leading institution in promoting philanthropy - a member of Charity Aid Foundation Global Alliance.

He is a full professor at the University of São Paulo, School of Public Health. He has served as Board member in several international and Brazilian organizations as Resource Alliance, WINGS, Federation of Industries of São Paulo State. Today he serves as a Senior Advisor of JoséLuiz Egydio Setubal Foundation, a family foundation dedicated to Childhood Care and Development. Dr. Kisil has an M.D. from the University of São Paulo, and a Doctorate in Public Administration from George Washington University. He is a senior fellow of Synergos Institute and Bertelsmann Stiftung. he is member of the editorial board of the Alliance Magazine. Marcos has authored more than 100 articles and books about health, philanthropy and private social investment.
