A one-of-a-kind networking, inspiration and learning event

Our Venice Gathering of Leaders is a unique opportunity for peer-to-peer networking, inspiration and learning about venture philanthropy and social investment. Don't miss out on this exclusive event.

Gathering of Leaders

EVPA’s full members get together once a year in Venice for the Gathering of Leaders. The event offers a unique opportunity for an open exchange of ideas and experiences amongst prominent players within the venture philanthropy and social investment field in Europe.

Among EVPA full members, it’s the second most valued activity, according to our Member Satisfaction Survey(2016 results), the first being our annual conference.

Why joining?

  • It is an exclusive event for EVPA full members bringing together the CEOs of Europe’s top venture philanthropy organisations that can share lessons learnt and best practices in an open environment;
  • It is Chatham House rules, so all conversations are completely confidential and candid, leading to some very thought-provoking discussions about (y)our role in developing the sector;
  • You have the opportunity to meet directly a diverse group of organisations and practitioners: 48 CEOs from 14 countries were present at our meeting in 2017;
  • It provides you the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of EVPA and the VP/SI ecosystem in Europe;
  • It is set in the beautiful city of Venice.

The next Gathering of Leaders is planned for 2 and 3 May 2019.

EVPA is a unique and special association which brings together philanthropists and social investors in their quest to be as effective as possible in helping to meet the challenges our society faces. Venice is the unique and special place where we meet each year to share and learn from one another. Our Leaders' Gathering in Venice is a valued EVPA tradition and offers an opportunity for open, honest reflection on our successes and failures and allows us to learn from one another. While our conversations are confidential, we each bring back insights and connections that are helpful for our journey ahead.  We leave, looking forward to the next gathering Venice where we can touch base and reconnect. It is clear that those who come to Venice want to come back.
