Europe’s impact leaders are invited to join us for a two-day event celebrating our first 20 years – and reimagining the next 20 – on 2 and 3 September in Venice.
Acorns to Oaks
Gathered in the heart of Venice, we’ll connect the first and the next generations of impact leaders to see the starkest challenges for people and the planet from new angles. We’ll join heads and hands around the concepts and practices of catalytic capital, impact integrity and collective impact action. Along the way, we’ll leverage lessons from the past and look boldly to the future, as we spotlight the people, projects, partnerships, places and principles that broke ground on venture philanthropy and built the movements of strategic philanthropy, impact investing and corporate impact.
Fair and Neutral
We’ll strive for breakthroughs at the intersection of social and environmental impact, zeroing in on just transition with the aim to deliver not just an action plan, but a community to deliver on its promises.
Big Pictures
At the Venice Film Festival, happening concurrently with our event, we’ll present the first ever Impact Award, underscoring the power of stories to change minds.

A Fitting Venue
Procuratie Vecchie on Piazza San Marco was built in the 12th century to house St. Mark's Procurators, Republic of Venice treasury. It was reopened in 2022 after restoration work by 2023 Pritzker Prize winner David Chipperfield. Today it is the home of our host and partner The Human Safety Net.
Venice holds a special place in Impact Europe’s legacy. For years it was the venue for its Leaders Gathering, a fixture on the calendar of venture philanthropy pioneers. Impact Leaders summit is a deliberate nod to the past and an attempt to establish a new tradition with a reimagined format fit for Impact Europe.
