As Head of Social Business and Microfinance, Claudia Belli-Jeanteur is in charge of meeting the rapidly-expanding needs of microfinance institutions both in mature and emerging markets and reinforcing the links created between BNP Paribas and the social enterprise ecosystem.

BNP Paribas has been involved for many years in the fight against all forms of exclusion, both social and financial, and has made support for microfinance and social entrepreneurship two of the commitments of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, Commitment 1 Investing and financing with a positive impact and commitment 7, offering products and services widely accessible.

At the end of June 2016, its financial commitment to microfinance institutions across 17 countries has reached EUR 240 m and the support to Social Entreprises in Europe and California amounted to EUR 600 m, reaching a total support (loans, investments, equity, ...) for EUR 840 m. Last but not least BNP Paribas tracks several indicators that shall decide the global remuneration of its top managers. Among these BNPP is engaged into increasing the number of beneficiaries of microcredits from 250.000 at end 2015 to 350.000 at end 2018 .

Claudia Belli joined BNP Paribas in 1991 as international analyst after experience in marketing and real estate. She served in various roles in the Corporate Finance and Export Finance departments before becoming Head of Export Finance for the Asia-Pacific region in 2008 and Head of Sales Development for the Export Finance Division of CIB in 2013. An Italian national, Claudia is a graduate of Bocconi University in Milan and holds a CEMS Master's from HEC School of Management in Jouy-en-Josas, France.
