About Elisabeth Paulson

Elisabeth is the Portfolio Director and member of the senior management team at ImpetusPEF. Elisabeth drives the charity’s investment strategy and is responsible for the overall direction and management of the charity’s partnership portfolio. Before stepping into this role, she was an Investment Director on the team, with a particular focus on partnerships driving sustained employment outcomes. She serves on the Big Lottery Talent Match Expert Advisory panel and the CAF Resilience Advisory Board.

She joined Impetus-PEF in 2014, after working with a number of organisations (The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, The Elton John AIDS Foundation, Comic Relief), focusing on the impact management and scale-up of international interventions or new initiatives. She is former chair and trustee of The Orchid Project.

Prior to this, Elisabeth worked for 10 years with The Economist Intelligence Unit, where she was deputy director of the country forecasting division and lead South Asia analyst. She has a degree in Politics and Chinese from Wellesley College and an MSc from the London School of Economics. After leaving college, she was a primary school teacher in New York and a member of the inaugural class of Teach for America.
