During this webinar EVPA looks at the latest trends in the venture philanthropy and social investment space together with four experienced EVPA members sharing their views and thoughts with the attendees. 

Based on data collected from 110 leading organisations in the VP/SI sector,  “Investing for Impact | The EVPA Survey 2017/2018” is the prominent study that explores where and how European VP/SI organisations deploy resources to support social purpose organisations.

Webinar panellists:

Katinka has been the Director of Ferd Social Entrepreneurs since its establishment in 2009. Ferd Social Entrepreneurs is the Social investment arm of Ferd, a family-owned Norwegian investment-company committed to value-creating ownership of businesses and investments in financial assets. Currently, Katinka is also board member of Den Sociale Kapitalfond in Denmark.

Jelena is Investment Manager at SI2 Fund, a Belgian Social Impact Fund particularly keen to support early-stage or growth phase businesses with scalable, innovative solutions and an integrated impact/business model. Before joining SI2, Jelena was managing investments in Eastern Africa for Oikocredit, an international impact investor.

Franz Karl is Senior Advisor to the Board of ERSTE Foundation and to the Savings Bank Group in Austria. ERSTE Foundation promotes a strong and confident civil society in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Before joining ERSTE Foundation in 2005 as program director for social affairs, Franz worked for Caritas Austria for 17 years. 

Patrice is Chief Strategy Officer at Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF), which invests in independent media around the world providing the news, information and debate that people need to build free and thriving societies. Patrice is also a Board member of EVPA.

Alessia is EVPA’s Research Manager. She re-joined EVPA in August 2016 as Research Associate after having previously worked as Research and Policy Analyst and as Project Analyst.From March until July 2016, she was trainee at the European Commission, DG ECFIN. Alessia formerly worked as an intern for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Paris and for Unioncamere Piemonte in Brussels.

Gianluca is EVPA's Research Associate. He joined EVPA as Research Intern in November 2017. Gianluca has previously worked as a Research Assistant for several project related to development and social network economics at Bocconi University.
