— Chair

Madeleine Clarke is Founding Director of Genio, an Irish NGO that brings government and private/philanthropic funders together, in order to develop better ways to support disadvantaged people to live full lives in their communities.

Patrice Schneider

Patrice Schneider

— Chief Strategy Officer

Patrice Schneider started his publishing career as a journalist reporting from conflicts in Central Asia in the 1980s.

Following a 20 years career in publishing (Time Warner Group, Lagardère Active) and working for the World Economic Forum, he now works for the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) which invests in independent media around the world providing the news, information and debate that people need to build free, thriving societies.

Leslie Johnston

Leslie Johnston

— Executive Director

Leslie Johnston joined C&A Foundation as its first Executive Director in August 2013 and brings over 20 years of management experience across multiple sectors, including smallholder agribusiness, entrepreneurship and corporate philanthropy. At C&A Foundation, Leslie led the development of the foundation’s first global vision, mission, and strategy, anchored on making fashion a force for good.  She oversees team of over 50 people across 10 countries, working to improve lives and livelihoods across the foundation’s five signature programmes.

Steven Serneels

Steven Serneels

— EVPA CEO a.i. & Board Member

In 1992, Steven started his own company specialized in Supply Chain and Operations Strategy. As business entrepreneur, he grew the company before selling it in 2008.

In 2011, he joined Ashoka Global in Washington as strategic advisor, focussing on how citizen sector organizations and corporations can work together successfully.

He was appointed CEO a.i. of EVPA in April 2018.

Karen Wilson

Karen Wilson

— Founder

Karen Wilson is the Founder of GV Partners, a research and consulting firm focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and finance. Among other organizations, Karen has been working with the OECD since 2009 on topics related to entrepreneurship, finance and innovation. For the past several years, she has been leading the OECD work on social impact investment. She has been engaged in the venture philanthropy and social investment community for over a decade through involvement with EVPA and other organisations.

Xavier Thauron has a 25 years experience in private equity after five years as SME banker, first in charge of growth capital in the PE structure of the French Banque Populaire Group where he was sponsor of the European Business and Innovation Network (EBN), then Head of Risks at Natixis Private Equity with a large diversified and international portfolio in Europe, Brazil, India and China.

Luís Jerónimo works as Deputy Director at the Gulbenkian Integration and Social Cohesion Programme of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He manages a portfolio of projects on social innovation and impact investing, including the first social impact bonds issued in Portugal and invested by the Foundation.

Jamy is a serial social entrepreneur and launched two initiatives around youth-entrepreneurship in Africa and Asia where she and her team already tried out ways of impact investing.

Christina Wu

Christina Wu

— Community and Impact Measurement Manager

Christina Wu joined EVPA in May 2016. In 2006, she co-founded a charity, Global Agents, which makes seed investments globally in early stage social enterprises. More recently, she worked in South Africa as the Business Operations Manager for SPARK Schools, a portfolio company of the Pearson Affordable Learning Fund.

Dr. Martin Vogelsang

Dr. Martin Vogelsang

— Germany Country Representative, EVPA

Martin Vogelsang joined EVPA in February 2016 and is based in Berlin, where he works part-time for EVPA. He currently is the interim Project Manager of the German National Advisory Board for Impact Investing. He is also the co-founder of Social Synergy (Mumbai, India), an impact investment organisation cooperating in investing patient capital and capacity building into early-stage social enterprises.

Tina Roshdi joined EVPA in March 2017. Previously, she worked in project management at Oksigen Lab, a Belgian incubator and research lab for social entrepreneurship, and later at Ashoka Belgium where she was in charge of the search and selection program of system-changing social entrepreneurs.

Julie joined the EVPA Community and Market Development team in March 2018 after working as an external consultant for the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe. She studied Governance and Leadership in European Public Health at Maastricht University, building on her study of Biomedical Sciences at the KU Leuven.

Priscilla Boiardi

Priscilla Boiardi

— Knowledge Centre and Policy Director, EVPA

Priscilla Boiardi is EVPA's Knowledge Centre and Policy Director, leading the research, policy, training and dissemination activities of the association. Priscilla is also an advisor on numerous EC-funded projects and she is part of the OECD Social Impact Investment Experts Group.

Matteo is Public Affairs Manager at the EVPA where he works across policy, advocacy and communication. Apart from his job, he offers pro bono advice for The Good Lobby, a pioneering civic startup committed to assist civil society organizations and grassroots in the pursuit of their public interest goals.
