EVPA 10-Week Advanced Peer-learning Programme on Impact Measurement and Management

Investors for impact - from foundations to impact funds to business support organisations - will learn how to clarify their impact objectives and design a solid framework to measure and manage impact at different levels: on investees / grantees, on final beneficiaries / service users and on society.

During the 10-week blended programme, you will be part of a supportive peer-learning community to extend, improve and deepen your impact measurement and management practices. Our innovative hands-on learning experience will support you in your journey to make impact measurement and management a driver of decision-making throughout the investment or grant-making journey.

Fees & Scholarships

EVPA members have priority access to this programme and enjoy a 50% discount on the regular participation fees. The fees include access to our e-learning platform and all its materials, 4 live sessions on Zoom, EVPA expert advice and a 2-day in-person event (including meals) in Brussels (travel and accommodation costs are not included).

EVPA members who need financial support have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship (please read our scholarship policy). The submission deadline for scholarship requests is 8 April.

Adam Richards

Adam Richards

Adam Richards PhD, is Director of Impact at Social Value International leading on international training, projects, and supporting people and organisations around the world to affect change. Before joining Social Value International, he was a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University.


Anna-Marie Harling

Anna-Marie Harling

As Managing Director (Philanthropic Collaboration) at Co-Impact, Anna-Marie combines practical experience and academic rigor in her work with philanthropists and foundations globally. By fostering collaboration and mobilizing funding for Co-Impact she is helping funders contribute to meaningful improvements in the lives of millions of people.

Previously Anna-Marie was Head of the UHNW Philanthropy Center at UBS in Zurich where she was responsible for thought leadership on strategic philanthropy. This included working with academic partners such as Harvard University on the Global Philanthropy Report and driving the development of the Global Philanthropists Community, where she advised philanthropists and encouraged collaboration.

Prior to that she was Senior Research Associate at EVPA. Before, she worked with Ashoka, helping social entrepreneurs scale up their business models. She also worked with Promotora Social Mexico on strategy and impact measurement, with a strong focus on gender equitable outcomes.

Anna-Marie began her career in investment banking at Credit Suisse working in both London and Zurich. She holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and an MA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. Originally from the United Kingdom, she speaks English, Spanish and French and is making progress in German. She lives in Zurich with her husband and two children.


Pieter Oostlander

Pieter Oostlander

Pieter Oostlander is the founder of shærpa and was appointed Fund Manager when SI2 Fund and shærpa merged in 2015. Pieter has been active in the social investment sector since 2004.

As a director of Noaber Foundation he built its service organization, which ultimately led to the founding of shærpa. His ambition is to make social impact and value creation (in addition to creating shareholder value) the core of his professional activities. Since 10 years, Pieter serves on the Board of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), 3 years of which as the Chair. Pieter is also a member of the board of directors of Social Value International. Prior to his career in the social investment sector, Pieter held various executive finance positions in manufacturing and IT companies.


Maria Cruz-Conde

Maria Cruz-Conde

María is Co-Director at Open Value Foundation and Head of Impact Analysis and Measurement at Global Social Impact Investments.

She has worked in foundations and NGOs in Spain, Latin America, and South East Asia and has been involved in local and international civil society organizations for 15+ years. She has extensive experience in sustainability, gender, and human rights.


James Hicks

James Hicks

James is a Director in the Impact Management team, where he implements Bridges' impact strategy and works closely with portfolio companies to develop their impact management practice. He joined Bridges from the Impact Management Project, an ambitious sector-wide initiative to build market consensus on how to measure, manage and report on impact. Prior to this, he worked in asset management at M&G Investments, where he specialised in private equity and worked on a team investing in mid-market buyout funds.


Sara Seganti

Sara Seganti

Sara is Impact Europe's Training Manager. She joined EVPA in 2017 to structure and to further develop the Training Academy activities, after more than ten years working as a project and impact manager, and as a trainer in the social impact field.

Before, Sara provided secretariat support to the Italian Advisory Board to the Social Impact Investment Taskforce established under the UK's Presidency of the G8. She is today the Secretary General of Social Impact Agenda per l'Italia, the Italian network for impact investing. She is a graduate in political philosophy and holds a master's degree in management of social enterprises from Bocconi Business School.


Arnau Picón Martínez

Arnau Picón Martínez

Arnau Picón is Knowledge and Learning Associate at Impact Europe. Since joining Impact Europe in February 2019, Arnau has conducted research on topics related to the impact ecosystem, such as impact measurement and management and the role of crowdfunding platforms within the impact sector.

Previously, Arnau worked in the Social Policy Area of a Local Government and in the communication sector as a journalist. He holds a Msc in Economic Development from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor Degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and French.
